Why I have chosen Elephant as our party symbol?- Dr. BR Ambedkar
" All of you know that Elephant is election symbol of Scheduled Castes Federation in the coming election. Why I have chosen Elephant as our election symbol? Because this symbol is known to all the Indians. Apart from it, Elephant is a symbol of Intelligence, patience and strength. Our people are as powerful as Elephant. It may take them some time to stand on their feet. But once they are on their feet nobody will be able to force them easily to sit on their knees."- Dr. Ambedkar, 27th October, 1951 at Jallandhar, Punjab
